The ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting has many great opportunities to network with colleagues and others in the rheumatology field. Here are some of the best ways to connect during the Annual Meeting.

1. Opening Reception

Saturday, October 20, 6:30 – 8:00 pm

Come celebrate the kickoff to the 2018 ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting. Connect with your colleagues while enjoying a live string orchestra band, food, and friendly conversations. The Opening Reception is complimentary to all registered Annual Meeting attendees.

2. Annual Meeting First-Timers Orientation

Sunday, October 21, 7:30 – 8:30 am

New to the meeting? Join us for the ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting Orientation. This session will provide registrants with the basic knowledge they need to navigate the meeting and receive the greatest educational benefit. Immediate past presidents of the ACR and ARHP will host this informative session. This event will be a great way to make connections at the meeting and for the year ahead.

3. ARHP Topic Round Tables: Networking Forum

Sunday, October 21, 12:30 – 2:15 pm

Sit down with your colleagues over a complimentary lunch and participate in open discussion on various research, practice, and clinical topics. All ARHP attendees are welcome to participate in this event.

4. #ACR18 Tweet Up

Sunday, October 21, 2:30 – 4:00 pm

The #ACR18 Tweet Up is an informal event without an agenda organized by ACR members. It is an opportunity for members who engage on Twitter to meet face to face. All Annual Meeting attendees are welcome to participate. The Tweet Up is designed to facilitate personal connections within the international rheumatology community.

5. ACR Study Groups

October 21-23, 1:00 – 2:00 pm

Take advantage of these unique social forums, designed to bring together small groups of attendees with common interest in a single disease, group of related disorders, or specialized study.

6. Exhibit Hall

October 21-23

The Exhibit Hall is a great place to meet with colleagues.  If you are looking for somewhere to sit and meet, visit one of the Networking Lounges. In addition, you can go to the food court and grab some lunch or a snack while you meet. Wifi Way on the main aisles of the Exhibit Hall offers a place to sit and connect online.

7. Poster Tours

October 21-23

Network with attendees and abstract authors during the ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting Poster Tours. The Poster Tours are a great way to find colleagues with similar research or clinical interests.

8. ARHP Discipline Round Tables: Networking Forum

Monday, October 22, 12:00 – 2:00 pm

All ARHP attendees are invited to this kickoff forum, where you will have the opportunity to network over a complimentary lunch at various discipline tables.

9. ACR Career Fair

The annual ACR Career Fair is the chance for employers to recruit qualified rheumatology candidates and job seekers to find a new career opportunity.
