The Ropes-A-Dopes from Massachusetts General and Gulls of Galveston from University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston edged out 14 other teams and advanced to the finals of this year’s Knowledge Bowl.
The teams will face the 2014 champions The Hawkeyes from the University of Iowa at 11:00 am today in Moscone South Gateway Ballroom, Room 104.
In addition to having team members’ names added to the traveling Knowledge Bowl trophy, this year’s winners will earn complimentary registration and hotel accommodations for the 2016 ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting, which takes place Nov. 11-16 in Washington, D.C., where they will have the chance to defend their title. The team also receives gold medals and tickets to the 2016 President’s Reception.
The Ropes-A-Dopes feature Eli Miloslavsky, MD, Sara R. Schoenfeld, MD, and Zachary Wallace, MD.
Niharika Ganti, MD, Vijaya Murthy, MD, and Rajani Rudrangi, MD, will compete for the Gulls of Galveston.
All three of the 2014 championship team members — Vijay Aluri, MD, Bharat Kumar, MD, and Namrata Singh, MBBS — return for The Hawkeyes.
