Get to Know Orlando at ACR Convergence 2026

Orlando offers visitors a wealth of entertainment options—from world-class theme parks to top-rated golf courses and unique shopping—for ACR Convergence 2026 attendees to explore while they are in town this November.

Located at the Orange County Convention Center, Nov. 6–11, the annual meeting will be in the heart of Orlando’s International Drive Entertainment District. Also known as I-Drive, this area includes ICON Park, which boasts 50-plus retail shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Check out the underwater marvels at SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium, the stunning realism of Madame Tussauds Orlando, or the confounding displays at the Museum of Illusions

A little farther from the convention center, you’ll find:

  • Walt Disney World, the biggest and most famous of Orlando’s theme resorts
  • Universal Orlando Resort, featuring three parks with rides and attractions dedicated to Universal movies and one water park
  • Gatorland, 110 acres with one-of-a-kind reptilian shows
  • Orlando Museum of Art, specializing in American art from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries, but also featuring pieces from ancient cultures from around the world

If you’re interested in hitting the links while in Orlando, you have your pick of more than 100 golf courses. In the I-Drive area, you’ll find four: Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge (27 holes), Grande Vista Golf Club (nine holes), The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes (18 holes), and Shingle Creek Golf Club (18 holes).

Visit Orlando, the city’s convention and tourism board website, offers additional advice on how to maximize your time in the city, including discounts for ACR Convergence attendees.

Look for recommendations on can’t-miss activities and eateries from local ACR members in the ACR Convergence Today magazine distributed on-site at the convention center when you arrive for this year’s premier rheumatology meeting.
