Practice management issues. Clinical research. Legislative policies. Patient care. These are just a few of the topics that ACR on Air, the official podcast of the American College of Rheumatology, is tackling. Every third Tuesday of the month, listeners can expect engaging interviews and commentary with leading rheumatologists and rheumatology professionals.

“Our goal is to offer ACR members and the rheumatology community at large, thought-provoking and quality content they can consistently access on the go,” said podcast host Jonathan Hausmann, MD, a pediatric and adult rheumatologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Clinical Decision Resources at Your Fingertips

The ACR recently introduced its Guideline & Criteria App — the go-to mobile tool for clinicians for the implementation of both guideline recommendations and criteria sets into practice.

The app features interactive tools to inform treatment decisions at the point of careas well as full text of guideline recommendations, such as those for the treatment of GIOP, JIA and JIA-associated uveitis, perioperative management, PsA, and RA, as well as several classification criteria sets, including gout, myositis, RA, and others.

“The ACR Guideline and Criteria App is yet another resource busy clinicians caring for patients with rheumatic diseases can add to their decision-support toolkit,” notes Liron Caplan, MD, PhD, associate professor of medicine/rheumatology, Rocky Mountain Regional Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and ACR Practice Guidelines Subcommittee chair. “Our goal is to keep the app relevant and as up to date as possible, so each time a new or updated guideline or criteria set is introduced, the app will quickly reflect the fresh content.”

The app is free and available in the App Store and Google Play.App support provided by Genentech, Inc., and UCB, Inc.
