The summit examines the essential core issues of rheumatology—from disease types to the role of genetics, environmental health, and access to care in determining patient outcomes—through a global lens.

Speakers will discuss updates on diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases, as well as the integration of environmental challenges and needs into the practice of rheumatology, including new infectious diseases and diversity, equity, and inclusion, said Zsuzsanna H. McMahan, MD, MHS.

Basic science sessions presented in Philadelphia will emphasize new, high dimensional technology and precision medicine technology as they apply to rheumatic diseases, explained Anne Davidson, MBBS.
