The ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting has many great opportunities to network with colleagues and others in the field. Here are a few ways to connect during the Annual Meeting.
Opening Reception: The reception takes place from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the Hilton San Diego Bayfront’s Sapphire Ballroom (Level 4) and offers everybody the chance to reconnect with old friends and colleagues and make new acquaintances. Organizers have designed the event to foster conversation and networking.
Exhibit Hall: Open from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Sunday, Nov. 5, and Monday, Nov. 6, and 10:00 am – 2:30 pm Tuesday, Nov. 7, the Exhibit Hall will also be the home for the ACR Discovery Center, where ACR staff will answer questions about both the ACR and the Rheumatology Research Foundation.
First-Time Attendees Session: The ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting First-Timers Orientation is Sunday, Nov. 5, from 7:30 – 8:30 am at the San Diego Convention Center. Presenters will offer valuable advice on how to get the most out of your Annual Meeting experience.
ACR Study Groups: ACR members plan Study Groups to disseminate information and facilitate networking and collaboration with those who share a common interest. About 30 study groups had their applications for a session approved. All of the sessions will take place from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (Nov. 5-7). The official program and the mobile app will have times and locations for each of the study groups.
2017 ACR Career Fair and CareerConnection: The 2017 ACR Career Fair will take place on Monday, Nov. 6, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel. The Career Fair presents the ideal opportunity to look for career opportunities and meet with healthcare organizations looking to hire qualified candidates.

ARHP Networking Luncheons: This year, the ARHP will hold three Networking Luncheons, including “A Call to Arms and Legs: Prescribe Exercise.” After lunch, lectures, and networking, groups can take part in yoga or tai chi demonstrations.
